Hamachi

I decided to publish this short guide after spending several hours trying to find out a way to play Dungeon Siege 2 with my friends using a pirate copy.
Since I couldn't find any Multiplayer/LAN-patches, I did a bit of search to see what other techniques there are to play LAN games over the internet, and found VPN ("Virtual Private Network") interesting, after trying several diffrent programs and having a hard time trying to set them up, and got none to work with my friend, I found Hamachi which has a guide in its forum, I take no credit for the part on how to do it with Hamachi itself as I haven't written it, big kudos to the guy who found out.

First install Hamachi from either http://files.hamachi.cc/HamachiSetup-0.9.9.9-en.exe or this torrent, follow the short tutorial and create a network for your friends to join, preferably password protected then follow these simple instructions (taken from the Hamachi forum):

1. Connect to Hamachi.
2. Disable your primary network connection through Network Connections.
3. Launch DS2 and start hosting a game in the LAN lobby.
4. Tab out and re-enable your primary network connection.
5. Reconnect to Hamachi (power button twice).
6. Have other players join your game.
7. Play!

Note: Incase you encounter the "this name is already in use" when trying to join the LAN lobby, everyone involved rebooting their computers will solve the problem.
